2015 MISSISSIPPI CORVETTE CLASSIC

BENEFITTING THE DIABETES FOUNDATION of MISSISSIPPI

The Mississippi Corvette Club, Inc. announced that it will host the 5th annual Mississippi Corvette Classic at the Jackson Convention Complex on Saturday, July 11, 2015. The doors will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission will be $5.00 for all over the age of 13. The net proceeds from this event will benefit the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi.

Corvettes from all 7 generations will be on display in a fun, air conditioned environment. Live music will be provided. There will be food, games, and a silent auction including items signed by sports personalities. One of the events will be valve cover racing, which is a great deal of fun.

The show floor will be surrounded by vendor booths offering quality goods and services. There will be a booth for the National Corvette Museum as well as Chevrolet dealerships exhibiting the new 2015 7th generation Corvette. There will be several of the new Z06 Corvettes on display. This is the most powerful Corvette ever produced with over 650 horsepower and 650 ft.-lb. of torque.

The registration fee to show a Corvette is $40.00. Space will be limited to assure all cars are displayed within the Convention Complex. Drive-in registration will be permitted on Friday afternoon, July10, and on Saturday morning, July11 at 7:00 a.m., before the show opens to the public at 9:00 a. m., but early registration is preferred and recommended.

The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi is the state’s premier nonprofit health organization working to prevent diabetes and associated complications as well as working to improve the lives of every child, adult, and every family touched by type 1 or type 2 diabetes. This is accomplished through education, support, advocacy, medical assistance and research.  Every dollar the organization raises stays in Mississippi. “We are honored to support the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi,” stated Bill Franks, Event Chairman of the Mississippi Corvette Club, Inc. This event has been very successful in the past, and our plan is to bring even more excitement in 2015. Show attendees will have an entertaining day out of the July heat.

The event is co-sponsored by the Jackson Convention Complex and the Mississippi Corvette Club, Inc. as well as other area businesses. Many donors and volunteers contribute to the success of this event. “This event would not be possible without the support of all these generous people,” Franks stated. “We invite everyone to come and join us on Saturday, July the 11th.”
